HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Getting started is simple and easy. Request your login details by signing up with us, you can then start to build your holiday home rental page with our easy to use tools. Preview your listing and when you are happy with what you see then you make one simple payment to activate your holiday home to go live. If you require any help along the way, then just ask for our assistance.

HOW DO I SET MY RENTAL PRICE?

If this is your first time in renting your holiday home then you can either drop us an email explaining about your property and location and we can give you some expert guidance or you can also look around at similar properties on the website to get a good comparable price in the area for similar rental properties

PHOTOS – YOUR MOST IMPORTANT TOOL

Great photos are your key tools. We want to emphasise the importance of ensuring your photos are of the best quality, as they basically rent out your holiday home for you.

  • Take your photographs on a sunny day with blue skies
  • Morning and afternoon sun gives your photographs the best light
  • Make sure to keep the sun behind you when you take your photographs
  • On your advert, the best photo should be the first one as this is used as a thumbnail photo in the listings and is the first thing that potential guests see
  • When taking indoor photos, we recommend using flash and opening the curtains
  • Show photos from indoor, outdoor and the surroundings like pool, garden, beach, etc
  • If you want to – contact a professional photographer

DO I HAVE TO CREATE THE ADVERT MYSELF?

Initially you must create the advert in your user account. There is an easy step by step guide but if you have doubts or difficulties doing this, our friendly support team is always here to give you effective support and to guide you through the process. Since you know your holiday home and local area best, you will be the best person to create your advert.

HOW LONG TIME WILL IT TAKE BEFORE MY ADVERT GOES ONLINE?

Once you have build your advert, our support team will check it over for you, once it has been been approved and we have your proof of ownership documents and your payment has been received your advert will go online.

At any time, you can login and make changes to your advert.

A invoice is created at the same time as receiving your payment and is available in your user account to download or to print out. Therefore, make sure that before paying, your personal details are correctly added to your account profile, as we don’t modify the invoices once these have been created.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

With just a one-off low cost annual subscription fee of only £245 inc tax you know exactly what your advertising budget will be for the year. There will be NO booking fees – NO commissions – NO service charges! And with no other hidden costs you can offer your holiday home at the best possible price for you and to the HolidayMaker

HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH GUESTS?

The client comes direct to you via email. You can read and reply to all of their messages from your VacationMate account's Inbox. This is where you can inform the client about your holiday home, the availability about the location and maybe a special late deal offer you may have.

HOW DO I TAKE A BOOKING?

Your new client will pay you directly for the price you want for your Holiday Home. You may have a payment system already in place, but there are several ways in which our owners choose to get paid including Paypal, credit card, and bank transfer.

WHY DO YOU CHARGE ONE ANNUAL PAYMENT?

With just a one-off low cost annual subscription fee you know exactly what your advertising budget will be for that year. With the soaring fees of other holiday rental companies like Owners Direct, Home & Away and their constantly rising charges will leave you with less profit in your hand, thus forcing you to possibly put a higher rental price on your property listing.

If you add up over a year what you are paying in commissions and service fees charges of anything between 10% – 60%, plus there is an extra 3% booking fee that is charged by them to you’re paying client, this can mount up to a considerable amount of money that you are losing throughout the year.
